Meet at the Market this Saturday
Omaha Home for Boys
4343 N 52nd Street (at Ames Avenue)
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Brought to you by the coolest neighborhood association in our fine city, the Benson Neighborhood Association is proud to announce Omaha’s most awesome Spring Cleanup! This extremely popular event gives Bensonites an opportunity to get rid of bulky items that are not disposable through regular trash pickup (think sofas, mattresses, entertainment centers, broken pool tables, etc.) Held in our neighborhood for many years, it is always sponsored by the Benson Neighborhood Association, along with Keep Omaha Beautiful and the City of Omaha. We are also recognized by the City of Omaha as one of the most efficient, nicest and most fun cleanups (in 2014 we emptied 300 cars and trucks and about five years ago the Prairie Gators played during the event) and willing to pilot recycling efforts such as the Paralyzed Veterans of America thrift store truck two years ago (they now offer trucks to other neighborhood associations throughout the cleanup time!!!) We get some really interesting items that come to the cleanup, and it is great fun watching garbage trucks crunch junk and seeing what people donate and recycle!
Here is a quick rundown of important information you need to know:
